As co-founder and CEO of Platform Smart, the UK’s only true hybrid technology professional services firm, I am responsible for ensuring our business strategy and direction is aligned to the ever-changing needs of our clients both today and in the future. I am passionate about two things, people and technology and love combining the two and seeing the fascinating and interesting projects and programmes we deliver to our clients.
I continue to remain actively engaged with many of our clients as well as a variety of external stakeholders, working closely to ensure that we are consistently leveraging the full breadth of Platform Smart to deliver impactful and meaning results to our clients and community.

Having spent many years delivering to clients and undertaking various account management roles, I genuinely feel that I have gained a good understanding of the challenges, stresses and needs from both a client and associate perspective.
Our vision at Platform Smart is to build the best community of like-minded professionals, allowing us to mobilise teams and individuals to deliver successfully to our clients. I am passionate that we are successful in achieving this and firmly believe that by listening to our associates and clients, genuinely caring about their views and taking positive action to be better will allow us to be successful in achieving our ambition.

I have and always had a strong technical interest throughout my life and developed my career off the back of that interest, I believe strongly a career should work from the bottom up to develop the encompassing knowledge that it brings through experience, I take this passion of technology and determination to help people transition into the work that we do.
Focusing on what and how we deliver is core to our engagements and I thoroughly enjoy working closely with our associates, learning from their experiences and capabilities to enable us to delivery to our clients as we promised, I hold true to the belief that this approach is what has enabled success in growing relationships. I look forward to growing in my role and helping our teams and clients grow.

I joined Platform Smart as a Managing Consultant in 2022 and was an Associate for a number of years prior to that.
My career in IT has spanned many industries in a variety of technical and management roles. A common thread throughout has been a curiosity to understand how things work (or don’t!), a passion for problem solving and a commitment to driving change through technology as a force for good.
My mantra of delivering to a consistent high quality and striving for excellence has found a natural home at Platform Smart. I am excited to contribute to the success of the organisation and look forward to continued learning and growth across our client and associate communities.

My first role following university was as a consultant, delivering quality outcomes to complex problems. 28 years and 100’s of clients later I find myself enjoying the role more than ever. I receive a huge amount of personal satisfaction in meeting new people, understanding the heartbeat of new organisations and quickly providing solutions, ranging from point fixes to an overhaul of project delivery and outsourcing. No matter the blend of technology, industry, organisation, at the heart of all engagements are the people who make the real difference, and my simple aim will always be to ensure clients and associates receive the best of experiences while delivering all types of quality change.

I really enjoy listening to a client’s challenges and understanding the unique aspects of their environment. Having worked across multiple industries and roles, I understand how to approach different challenges and the capabilities required to address them.
It’s not always easy to create a solution which is right for the client, and you don’t often get it right first time, but I enjoy the learnings and it spurs me on to succeed where others have failed. I really enjoy what I do and tend to build strong relationships with my teams and customers.

Having been fortunate enough to work with some incredible people across a variety of sectors, I have been exposed to a wide range of business and technology challenges our clients face. No two problems can be approached in exactly the same way, but what does connect them all is the need for flexible access to capability they can trust and rely upon to help them navigate the ever changing technology landscape. I really enjoy being able to support this challenge through the expertise of our Associate Programme, and the varied services we are able to offer in partnership with our associate members.

The thing I love most about a career in Finance is that it touches every part of a business. Having spent 15 years in the finance world, across multiple industries, I still find huge satisfaction in aiding all areas of a business to link their strategies to the financial needs and goals of the company. Whether this be through the breaking down and analysis of financial data to aid in decision making or simply providing a different view point on a subject.
I’m motivated by driving processes and financial controls which form the foundation in which to enable a company’s strategy and ideals to be successful and sustainable. I believe good communication and strong relationships are what enables a company to thrive and utilise the unique skills and personalities that each person brings to a business.

As an Associate Relationship Manager, I work closely with our Managing Consultants and clients to understand their unique needs and ensure we build and mobilise teams consisting of the right associates. I take pride in carefully assessing technical expertise and professional experience, alongside my Managing Consultant, to ensure every associate and team is perfectly aligned with our clients’ objectives.
For me, this work is about more than simply resourcing projects—it’s about fostering strong, lasting relationships and contributing to our clients’ success, working in partnership and ensuring they can be confident they have access to the right skills and experience.

I’m relatively new to Platform Smart, but I’ve quickly settled into its modern, collaborative environment that retains a real family feel. Our associates are at the heart of everything we do, and my focus is on providing the professional support they need to mobilise effectively and perform at their best.
To enable our associates to succeed, we must also bring our best—delivering a service that’s professional, adaptable, and approachable. There’s no such thing as a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution in this programme, so I take pride in tailoring my support to meet individual needs with care and flexibility.
